SUMMARY:Monthly Meeting: Trunk Show with Helen Wilkinson from Cedar Quilt Co!
DESCRIPTION:Tonight we will enjoy a trunk show from Helen Wilkinson, including her quilt that showed at this year’s QuiltCon!\nHelen’s quilt designs are modern with a touch of tradition. She gravitates towards bold, graphic colours but also loves a classic block-based quilt. You’ll find themes of nature in her designs, many of which are inspired by the landscape and plants here on Vancouver Island.\nHelen has been a garment sewist for many years and she designs garment patterns over at Helen’s Closet Patterns. It wasn’t until she decided to dip her toe into the quilting pool that she discovered a whole other world of sewing delights. Quilting combines her love of sewing and her love of graphic design in a way she never realized was possible!\nWe meet in the Cordova Bay 55+ Associations room, located within Cordova Bay Elementary school, at 5238 Cordova Bay Rd. The entrance is to the left of the main school doors.\nGuests are welcome for a fee of $7 at the door.\nIf it’s your birthday month, feel free to bring along some goodies for the group!\n
