October Show & Share and Charity Quilts

At the October meeting we had quite a few Show & Share quilts, as well as quilts being donated to Cockrell House…. lots of quilty goodness to see, so let’s get right to it.

Show & Share

Cindy is a “wannabe grandma” who makes baby quilts for her co-workers, here is her latest that some lucky co-worker will be receiving.

This is Mattea, a guest at our meeting this month, with her first mini quilt! Great job!

Lana’s quilt is from a pattern called “Lynne’s Liberated Birds” – each bird took on its own personality, starting with the beaks.

A closer look at Lana’s birds – with an enthusiastic presenter!

Natalie’s entry for the MQG two-colour quilt challenge

And here’s a cool no-ruler improv quilt by Natalie

This beauty is by new member, and new quilter, Penny!

A mod mini by Rosalie using up her stash, and another that she made from a panel to work on quilting techniques.

This was Susan’s first meeting, and she brought a vibrant Drunkard’s Path!
Audrey is our photographer, so she’s a little busy during show & share, and she got pictures of her quilts later – this one is called “Migration” and it’s for her grandchild.

Audrey also did this awesome design in reverse applique.

Charity Quilts

Some of our members have been working on quilts to be donated to residents of Cockrell House – the quilts were collected at the October meeting, giving us all a chance to have a look before they are donated.
