Weekend events!
It’s a busy weekend for MQG Victoria – here are all the details.
SATURDAY, April 12th: guided tour of the Carole Sabiston exhibit at the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria. The gallery opens at 10am, our tour starts at 10:30. Admission is 11$/adults, 9$/seniors. Please meet in the front lobby. Our tour will be about an hour.
Via CAR: there is parking at the gallery as well as street parking surrounding the gallery.
Via BUS: from town, take the #11, #14 or #22 to Fort and Moss, then a short block on Moss. Ask the driver to point you in the right direction when you disembark.
NB: the exhibit closes at the end of April and this is our last tour. Come Saturday to see what all the excitement is about!
SUNDAY, April 13th: our second sew-in!!
Where: Pearkes Arena, Gardom Room, 3100 Tillicum Road
When: 11am-3pm
What to bring:
sewing machine or hand sewing
whatever project you’re working on
an extension cord and a power bar if you have one
a lunch or snacks for yourself
10$ if you have not already paid. Please give this to Stacie.
The room is big enough that we can accommodate a few more people. Please EMAIL us if would like to come.

Hi, Just wondering how often you do the sew-ins (or are thinking of doing them). I think it's a great idea, but won't work out for me this weekend.

We aim for once a month on the second Sunday; the May one will be cancelled or postponed due to our workshop on the 10th. We are also planning to add a late night sew-in. Sorry you can't come on Sunday but we'll see you soon I hope!
