For our June meeting we asked members to share quilts made in a Log Cabin theme and boy did they deliver!
This is just the first of 4 quilts Netta brought into share with us!
1. A beautiful single colour, well loved duvet cover from her early quilting days.
2. A beautiful Rainbow version celebrating Pride.
3. Uneven log widths create a curve illusion for this one.
4. A second version of the “curved” log cabin version which Netta submitted to Quilt Con. While it wasn’t selected for the show we think it is spectacular!
Laura made this one while participating in a 12 minis in 12 months Sew A Long. She used ombre fabric and finished it with a new to her facing technique.
Judy made this warm brown and cream version back in 2009!
Judy also shared this handy tote bag featuring warm spring/summer colours when reversed.
Natalie share two log cabin themed quits. This one features wonky/curvy logs floating on the negative space.
Natalies second quilt, made from a stash of Carolyn Friedlander fabrics, uses the uneven log technique and value to create a curved effect.
At first Liz planned these log cabin blocks for a Christmas Tree Skirt. It decided it wanted to be Christmas wall hanging instead.
Liz completed wonderful “value” quilt inspired by our One Colour Challenge Workshop hosted by Cherly Arkison
These are her Triangle and Circle additions for her future row quilt. It is not too late to join us click on the link above to learn more.
Audrey shared a Boro Bag she completed from a work shop hosted by our very own Barbara Gilbert.
