Monthly Meeting – Guild Members Trunk Show: “Quilts With a Story”
Have you made a memory quilt, either for yourself or your family or for a friend? How was that process for you? How did you come up with the design? How did you feel about the outcome and the whole experience? What did you learn? Any tips for the rest of us?
Have you made a quilt that marked a specific event, like graduation, wedding, new baby, health challenge, retirement, etc? How did your quilt tell the story of the event? Any tips for the rest of us?
Have you made a proverbial quilt…a quilt with words? What was the message? What method did you use to make the individual letters? Any tips for the rest of us?
It’s possible that you have made one or more memory quilts, or quilts with a story, but you don’t have it available to bring to the meeting next week. That’s okay. Please bring the quilts to show if you can, but if not, we’d still like to hear about it. We’re going sit in a big circle and be inspired as we learn from each other about our “Quilts with a Story”.
Note: This will be in addition to our regular monthly Show & Share.
We meet in person at the Trafalgar/Pro Patria Legion Branch 292, Entry/Parking Lot off 411 Gorge Rd E, Dunedin St, Victoria, BC.
Monthly meetings are free for MQG Victoria members. Guests are welcome with the cash purchase of a $7 guest pass at the door.
