June block Lotto
Canada day is coming up, so lets play with red and white fabric.
Thanks to a member suggestion, we are making a puzzle block. I hope this one will look really cool when put together with the others!
To start with, get some white fabric, (Kona white is preferable for consistency) and two red prints ( choose prints with only red, white, black or gray(no other colours in the mix)).
You will need:
white fabric- two 6 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ pieces and six 2 1/2″ squares
red print fabrics- one 6 1/2″x 4 1/2″ and three 2 1/2″ squares of each print.
Lay out your puzzle as in the photo at the top, so that there is red in the top right and bottom left corner so that all our bumps and indents go the same way.
Pretty straight forward to put together, small strips first,
then add strips to the bigger blocks to get four 6 1/2″ squares. then put it together and what have you got? bibity bobity boo.
Finished size 12 1/2″ square.
Just kidding, hopefully you now have a puzzle block, and had so much fun that you make a whole bunch more.
For more instructions you can also check out the free Craftsy pattern here
Please bring this block lotto to the august meeting.
Do not bring it to the july picnic meeting.
As always, one block = one ticket, so the more you make the better your chances of winning.
