Fussy Cut Thimbles is thimble block pattern with multiple design options for fussy cutting sweet prints to customize the blocks. These blocks are like potato chips – you can’t stop at one. They come in three sizes: Medium: – 4″ x 5″ (22 design options), Tinies – 7/8″ x 1″ (7 design options) and giant thimble block – 10″ x 12″ (1 option). In this workshop participants will learn about fussy cutting, small piecing and FPP tips. The blocks are great for quilts, zipper pouches, sewing room mini quilts, needle books etc.
Date and Time: Saturday, June 20th from 10am to 4pm
Location: Cordova Bay 55+ Association’s room, located within Cordova Bay Elementary school, at 5238 Cordova Bay Rd.

Open to Victoria MQG members only at the reduced cost of $90 until May 22 at 12:00pm. If space is still available after this, registration will open up to non-members at a cost of $100.
Drop outs: A refund minus a cancellation fee of $10 will be processed for drop outs on or before May 20th. Drop outs after this date will not be refunded the workshop cost. To avoid these fees, you are welcome to sell your seat to another person, but please supply us with the name and email address of the new person.

This workshop is for confident beginners, who have a basic understanding of FPP.
Participants can choose their preferred block size to make in class.
The pattern fee is included with the cost of registration.

Berene is a modern quilt designer, speaker and community project instigator. Her sewing patterns feature inspiring messages of positivity and hope, with the goal of making the world a kinder and more peaceful place. She is a big fan of “collective energy” and uses community projects to corral fellow creatives to work together for change. These projects include awareness projects, collaborative community installations, fundraisers for social justice causes, and the Handmade Collective Awards – a bursary fund set up for the maker community to fund awards for BIPOC and 2SLGBTQ+ students.
