Show and Share – November 2022

Natalie, Susan and Liz attended our terrific David Owen Hastings workshop “Inspired by Architecture”.  Three great examples of what we learned.

Susan continued to practice what she had learned.

Dawna continues her up-cycling denim journey with this beauty!  She gave into instinct for the binding when seeing the unfinished quilt against the background of a multicolour quilt.

Oh My…Tula!!  Beautiful quilt made by Lori Hargreaves.

This quilt by Liz with the back perhaps just as interesting as the front!

A second quilt shared by Liz…and once again a great pieced backing with left over fabric from the front.

This is Susan’s sports themed quilt in primary colours!

A darling baby quilt by Sharon.

It all started with a bundle of beautiful plaids …This is the first of Joanne’s series a “Tale of Three Quilts”.

The second in Joanne’s series is holiday themed!

The final quilt in the series uses up all the itty bitty triangles and show cases an inspired border.  Well done Joanne!

Barbara made great use of a previous block lotto win then added blocks with her own flare for a sparkling result.

Michelle made the beautiful Alaska Rainbow Quilt (Laundry Basket Quilts) that hangs at Troll Brother’s Quilt Designs.  This miniaturized version was made with the leftover fabric.  The stunning free motion quilting was done by Michelle herself!

Netta had the challenge of designing a quilt for a baby who’s parents tastes where bold and minimalistic …We think she nailed it!

Finally …Liz with two more instalments in our 2022 Block of the Month Sew Along.  This colour palette is so good!
