Drop outs: A refund minus a cancellation fee of $10 will be processed for drops outs on or before March 4th. Drop outs after this date will not be refunded the workshop cost. To avoid these fees, you are welcome to sell your seat to another person, but please supply us with the name and email address of the new person.
Description
- Discover the ease of setting in circles using only one pin. This method lends its self extremely well to improvisational type quilting. The effect of overlapping circles and transparency is easily achieved. Using the Cut A Round ruler by Cheryl Phillips (available for purchase in class), Marianne will teach you how to cut out various sized circles and how to set them into your project. She will also provide several samples of improv work using this method as well as cover several Quilt as You Go methods.
- Techniques covered in class: Cutting the circles, setting the circles in, using only one pin and no glue, creative ways to use inset circles in your work, preparing blocks for quilting, and various QAYG Joining methods
Marianne has been teaching quilting workshops, off and on, for approximately twelve years, including at Quilt Canada.
She has had quilts juried into Quilt Con and Quilt Canada. Five of her quilts won awards at various AQS juried quilt shows (three first place and two third place).
She has also had quilts published in several quilting magazines such as Modern patchwork, Machine Quilting unlimited, Modern Quilts unlimited, Fons & Porter’s Love of Quilting, AQ American Quilter and Simply Moderne.
