Striped Quarter Log Cabin Block

Finished block is 12 ½” square

Fabric you will need:

• Black print on white background
• Red tone on tone

Cutting Directions:

• Red
  • two strips- 2″x 3 ½ “
  • two strips- 2″x 6 ½ “
  • two strips- 2″x 9 ½ “
  • one strip- 2″x 12 ½ “

• Black on white
  • two strips- 2″x 3 ½ “
  • two strips- 2″x 6 ½ “
  • two strips- 2″x 9 ½ “
  • one strip- 2″x 12 ½ “

Sewing directions:

1. Piece together strip sets of red fabric with black on white fabric of matching lengths.
2. Join together like a quarter log cabin, starting with a 3 ½ ” block.
3. Check the photo for layout reference to make sure your colour strips are on the correct side when joining to other blocks.
