Block Lotto – December 2022

Fabrics:

Eight DIFFERENT low volume prints PLEASE use DIFFERENT ones for variety:

• Four 5″ squares (charms) and four 2 3/4″ squares

One blue print or solid of your choice (use tone on tone OR a blue print with SMALL amounts of other colour(s):

• One 2 3/4″ X  7 1/4″ rectangle and two 2 3/4″ squares

Construction:

• Arrange your fabrics out as shown in this visual reference of the block layout.
• Begin with sewing a 2 3/4″ low volume square to each of the blue 2 3/4″ squares.
• Then sew a 2 3/4″ low volume square to each short end of the blue 2 3/4″ X 7 1/4″ rectangle.
• Sew together in rows with the 5″ squares as shown, then sew the rows together.
• Press the last two seams open to reduce bulk.
• Square to 11 3/4″

PLEASE follow the guidelines for a successful block lotto, ie. choice of fabrics and prints, and completed size.
