Monthly Meeting: Trunk Show & Lecture with Berene Campbell
ALL TOGETHER NOW: Harnessing hope by working together for change
In 2013 Berene Campbell initiated a community project called “To Boston with Love” in response to the Boston Bombings. This resulted in an installation at the MFA Boston of close to 2,000 Peace & Love flags from around the world. After learning how the power of planting a seed of an idea can bring people together, Berene began to embrace the concept of “Collective Energy” and has since lead multiple community projects both near and afar. These may be in response to a specific event, fundraisers for a cause, working to support marginalized communities and in general choosing to spread love and peace over hate and prejudice. When we work together, life stories are shared, understanding grows and ideas are sparked. This results in an amazing collective energy. Berene’s work embraces this process along with creative and inspiring designs enabling makers to be a part of a greater good, helping them to feel empowered and more hopeful about their place in the world.
We are so excited to have Berene join us in person from Vancouver. Follow her on Instagram @happysewlucky
