Sandra Sandvik quilt

Monthly Meeting: Trunk Show – “Your Stash: A Valuable Investment….” with Sandra Sandvik!

“In her book, American Cotton: Farm to Quilt, Teresa Duryea Wong shares that the average dedicated quilter in the US has an estimated $6000 worth of fabric sitting in their stash. $6000!”

Climate change is causing lasting and devastating problems for our world right now. Join Mayne Island, BC, quilter Sandra Sandvik for a look into how she uses her valuable stash to continue creating and bring some sustainability practise to her studio.

Sandra’s trunk show will include her innovative up-cycled quilts and textiles along with the thoughtful process of de-stashing and reusing fabrics to ensure nothing goes to waste.
