Monthly Zoom Meeting – September 16th, 2021, featuring a slide show by Barbara Gilbert highlighting her trip to “The Festival of Quilts” in Birmingham, UK!

We are super excited that this month our very own Barbara Gilbert will be presenting her slide show “Wandering Among the Quilts and Other Goodies at ‘The Festival of Quilts’ in Birmingham NEC – August 2019”

Barbara says: I was fortunate to be able to spend a weekend break – between two intensive embroidery classes at the RSN in Hampton Court – in Birmingham, UK browsing the overwhelming Festival of Quilts. Billed as the largest quilt event in the EU, this extravaganza is actually open from Thursday to Sunday. It is held in the NEC (Northern Exhibition Center) right beside the airport and a national rail station; you arrive by air or train and can walk over to the exhibition! Join me as I wander through some of the quilts and other creations displayed in the space equivalent to 3 hockey arenas!
