July BOM – Circular Cabins

This block puts a modern spin on a traditional Log Cabin block.

You will need:
Solid white fabric, such as Kona White, (say it with us now – make sure it is pure white and not off white!) NB: WOF x 3” will be enough for one block. Cut your “C” square FIRST though!

• 8, 2.5” wide strips or scraps of printed and solid fabrics in the colour scheme of Yellow, Grey, Turquoise, and Light Blue.

Directions:

Cut your fabrics according to this table:

Sew the strips together in numerical order, as shown on the diagram and starting with the “C” square. Use an accurate quarter inch throughout. Press white seams towards the centre block and coloured seams away from the centre.

This is C, #1, and #2.

Ta da! One complete, 14″ finished block (14.5″ unfinished).
One block = One lottery ticket, so make as many as you like.

But wait! Why is this called a Circular Cabin?

This is what four blocks together will look like.

Do you see it now?
