March Block Lotto – Ribbon Star!
This month we have a lovely Ribbon Star block tutorial from Lee of Freshly Pieced. The block finishes at 12″ and as usual, one block nets one lotto ticket to win the whole batch.
Instead of a white background we are suggesting Kona Iron, or a similarly toned print.
For the star: Choose any one colour for the centre star, either print or solid, and then use the remaining colours in the ribbon around the star. You do not have to use every colour in the palette.
Supplies:
Background (iron/grey):
• Cut four 3″ squares
• Cut eight 2.5″ squares
• Cut eight 2″ squares
Star (your focus colour):
• Cut one 4.5″ square
• Cut eight 2.5″ squares
Colour A (other colours):
• Cut four pieces, 2.5″ x 4.5″
• Cut four pieces, 2″ x 4.5″
Colour B (more other colours):
• Cut four pieces, 2.5″ x 4.5″
• Cut four pieces, 2″ x 3″
