May block lotto – Polaroid blocks!
This month we are trying out a now-classic modern quilt block. This block was all the rage way back in summer of 2012. Googling it will give you loads of tutorials. We think it started HERE, then spread to HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE and we are sure there are more examples on-line.
But this is here and now. We are using the very recent tutorial from Jayne at Twiggy and Opal. Her blog is amazing so you should take a poke around anyway.
You will need (per block):
- a 2.5″x2.5″ FUSSY CUT square of print fabric. Novelty prints are excellent for this but any pretty fabric will work. If you are not using novelty prints then please choose bright, cheerful colours.
- a 4.5″x3.5″ square of solid white fabric, sub-cut as per the diagram or a strip 1.5″x12″ or tiny little scraps of solid white

NB: these blocks are fast to make and very addictive.

Because these are wee and fast, it will be 4 blocks = 1 lotto ticket, so make four, make eight, make lots!
