MQG Victoria Member DeStash/ReStash Sale!

If you love quilting and garage sales then you won’t want to miss the next meeting where we will be hosting a DeStash/ReStash Sale Event!  

Members this the perfect excuse to take a long hard look at your sewing/quilting studio and assess what you have been hoarding saving and identify those unused, unloved quilt related items that could be sold or given to a new home.

We came up with the following to get you thinking:

• Fabric – quilting cotton modern or non-modern only please!
• Yardage
• Charm packs
• Fat quarters
• Scraps – You KNOW you have those!!!
• Quilt tops – Yep…the ones you just HAD to make but never quilted and never will!
• Leftover bits of jelly rolls
• Orphaned blocks – Come on…give them to a good home!
• That project you’re never going to finish – Just breath and let it go! 
• Rulers – Really …how many rulers does one quilter need anyway?
• Tools/Notions – “Remind me ….what does this THING do again??”
• Books/Magazines

Not a MQG Victoria member?

While we have reserved all the “Seller” spots for MQG Victoria members, non-members are welcome to come and shop for a small fee of $7.00.  Come on by, shop and try out some MQG Victoria hospitality!

Now for the details…

• All sale items will be arranged on the available tables.
• One table will be designated as FREE for those wishing to give away quilt-related items…Who doesn’t like free!
• Shopping will start when announced by MQG Victoria Executive member. “Early Bird” shopping is discouraged to give all participants equal opportunity.

SELLERS

To prepare an item for sale:

1. Prepare a money envelope for each item as follows:
   • Upper left corner: write your name
   • Center of envelope: write the name of the item (e.g. 2m trim, 0.5m cotton, 3 Fat Quarters).
   • Below the name of the item write the price.
2. Do not seal the envelope
3. Put the envelope and the item for sale into a sealable clear plastic bag (ziplocs are perfect!)
4. Bundles of magazines may be tied with string instead, with the money envelope taped to the front
5. Please use round numbers when pricing!

Note:  Sellers please arrive early enough to get your items placed on the tables prior to sale.

After the sale:

1. Money envelopes collected will be sorted and disbursed to sellers once the sale is over.
2. Items not sold must be picked up by sellers at the end of the sale.
3. Sellers accept any risk of putting their items up for sale. MQG Victoria is not responsible for lost or stolen items. 

BUYERS 

To buy an item:

1. Remove the money envelope from the sale item bag.
2. Put the correct amount of money into the envelope, but do not seal.
3. Bring your items and envelopes to the pay station where it will be checked and filed away for pick up by the seller.
