November Block Lotto

This month’s block is taking a very traditional log cabin block, changing it up, and using a modern palette of grey and yellow.

You will need:

-One 4″x4″ square of yellow print or solid fabric.  Any shade of yellow, but make sure it reads clearly as yellow( not too strong contrasting colour in the print).
-Lots of strips of grey prints or solids in varying widths.  Up to 12.5″ in length.

This will only be a quarter log cabin block.  So starting on one side, add a 4″ long strip of grey,  Add another grey strip to a second side.  Trim the block so that the sides are straight.  Add another grey strip to the first side, then the second, and square it up again.
Continue adding grey strips to the two sides until you get a 12.5″ square block.

Pretty straight forward.  Just make sure it doesn’t get wonky as you are adding.

As always, one block = one ticket, so make one, make two, make a whole cabin of blocks.

Hand these in at the JANUARY 19th meeting.
