Show and Share – February Meeting

Here are pretty pictures from our FANTASTIC February meeting. It was a record-breaking one as well – we were so close to 50 people! We hope everyone had a good time.

January BOM demo: Modern Mountains

Our name tag challenge was well done, and lots of people riffed on our logo.

Everyone LOOKS like they’re having fun!

Bryan demonstrating the “Burly Quilter Block” for this month’s BOM.

Linda, our lovely and gracious host, made this up as a shop sample.

Mavis and her beautiful quilt.

Kim and her beautiful quilt.

Michele and her beautiful quilt.

Rhonda and her beautiful quilt.

Rhonda took the scraps from her rainbow quilt and used the “uneven stacked coins” block from November to make a matching pillow.

Ursula’s beautiful quilt – even though some of the colours bled, even WITH pre-washing, it’s still beautiful.
Ursula riffed on the “Modern Mountains” BOM to make a table runner and co-ordinating placemats.

Kim’s beautiful quilt for her young daughter.

Kim showing us the back of the quilt.

Susan and a new pattern she has written, “Modern Roses”.

Stacie made this beautiful quilt, just playing around.

Janelle’s beautiful mini.

Janelle’s beautiful disappearing 9 patch, quilted by fellow guild member Jennifer Watson.

Back of Janelle’s quilt.

Jennifer and two beautiful little quilts she made of scraps.

A label on one of Jennifer’s quilts which generated lots of interest.

Terri was one of the three lucky winners of the inaugural BOM draw in November! This is her beautiful version of a scrappy modern disappearing 9 patch.

Margo showed off an enormous stack of blocks.

After show and share we like to admire the quilting and details of our quilts.

The three winners of our name tag challenge: L-R, Jennifer, Stacie, and Gabrielle, and closeups of their beautiful tags. Bryan generously donated prizes: Stacie chose a book and a FQ bundle, Gabrielle chose a book, and Jennifer picked out a charm pack. Thanks Bryan!

Sarah was the lucky person to take home 23 “Modern Mountains” blocks.

We hope to see you at our next meeting,
Thursday, March 20th, 7pm at Satin Moon.
