Show and Share – May 2022
Thank you to all members who contributed to Show and Share at our May 2022 meeting!
While we are still working on getting the lighting just right for photos the following is a fair representation of work presented by the talented makers in our club.
MQG Victoria Group Quilt Commissioned by the Victoria Literacy Connection
Design inspired by the VLC logo is by Natalie Skinner who also did the quilting!
A sweet baby quilt by Judy Lacy
Liz Thornton’s quilt featuring walking foot quilt designs inspired by our workshop with Melissa Marginet
Two more lovely quilts by Liz Thornton!
The smaller was made using spare blocks and scraps from the making of the larger one.
This quilt by new member Sarah Brown was made to benefit Ukrainian refugees settling in Victoria.
“Ode to Community” by Marilyn Isaak
A collection of 100 “squircles” of shot cotton and upcycled linen on 4.5” squares of mostly wool/upcycled suiting samples.
New Member Susan Steinmetz has designed and sewn this darling portrait of her dog using paper piecing technique.
Esther Dunn created this quilt while participating in the “Geesey Geesey” Sew a Long hosted by Rachel Hauser of @stitchedincolor in 2020. She used only fabrics from stash for this fall inspired colour way.
Amazing as always ❤️
