What a wonderful day!
We were at Fibrations Fibre Arts festival yesterday and we had so much fun.
We lucked out with a great corner spot so we had lots of room for all the quilts we’d brought to share.
People came right in to look at quilts up close. A few people even sat down to discuss the finer points of “what is a modern quilt anyway?” We were all happy to blather on about modern quilts and why we’re starting a guild in Victoria.
Lots and lots of people signed up for our email list and we
hope every one of them comes to our first meeting.
Marianne Haak from The Quilting Edge lives across the street from St. Ann’s and she stopped by to visit with us and spread the word about MQG Victoria. She even ran home to get a few quilts to add to our display.

It was great to see so many fibre artists of all kinds all in one place. Being at Fibrations yesterday was the perfect start to MQG Victoria.
Thanks to Ryan and Stephanie at Knotty by Nature and all the volunteers.
See you at our first meeting,
Thursday Sept. 19
at Satin Moon (825 Fort St) from 7-9pm.
